Responsibilities and Duties:
- Maintaining the foremost in quality and excellence of passenger and inflight cabin service.
- Coordinating with other crewmembers assigned to the flight to assure a smooth operation with maximum efficiency.
- Observe Company uniform and conduct regulations while on duty.
- Perform preflight checks for required cabin emergency equipment, catering and commissary supplies, and appearance of cabin, and reporting any discrepancies to the captain.
- Assist flight crew in manifesting passengers including any special information needed for international flights.
- Ensures passengers are briefed as required by 14 CFR 121.571 using procedures in accordance with the “Inflight Services Manual.”
- Ensures passenger personal items are stowed properly in the overhead bins or under seats prior to closing main cabin door.
- Ensures all equipment and supplies are secured at all times.
- Ensures pathways are clear to emergency exits for taxi, takeoff and landing.
- Perform such other duties as assigned by the captain of the flight.
- Act as Ground Security Coordinator (GSC), as required in accordance with Company procedures manual and TSA, as assigned.
Education, Knowledge and Skills:
- Must be older than 21 years of age.
- Must be a high school graduate or have a GED.
- Must be Flexible to work any available schedule to include nights, weekend, holidays and international travel up to 20 days per month.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment that requires high energy and constant face-to-face interaction with customers.
- Must be detail oriented and a team player.
- Ability to complete a four week 121 Initial New Hire Training.
- Must be able to successfully complete a 10 year background check and FAA/DOT drug screening (no previous felony convictions).
